I'm guessing what you're saying is Omnisphere has far more editability, features and effects than Analog Lab? I guess what I'm referring to is the patches and/or instruments each have. Not understanding why they wouldn't be comparable, although I'll admit their price tags are NOT comparable. Both appear to have vintage/classic synth sounds, however you want to word it. I'm highlighting what I thought would be comparable with the words you used to describe them. There are already loads of "classic" synth patches in there, along with oscillator models across many synth types. Omnisphere, as you know, is a full-blown synthesizer with tremendous depth, and could be made to sound like anything.
FWIW you get selected patches from their piano, Wurly, Rhodes, Clavinet, and B3 instruments. There's some nice stuff in there, but whether it's useful or pleasing to you depends on how much you want those specific sounds or whether you think Arturia did a decent job emulating classic synths.
You can demo the product for free to see what you think. There are some minimal layering/splitting options. There are different tweakable options per patch: effects sends, filter cutoff, envelope options.
They two products really aren't comparable.Īnalog Lab is preset player with thousands of sounds across Arturia's suite of vintage synth and classic keyboard emulations. Can you clarify what you mean by "coverage"?
